WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE WAITING ON GOD by Joyce Meyer

Have you been praying about a situation in your life and found yourself waiting for a breakthrough? Are you wondering why the answer hasn't come yet? Do you feel as though victory is passing you by?
Sometimes when we pray long and hard about a situation in our life without receiving any answers, we just learn to live with it. We go on about our business, wondering if or when God will send the answer. But God does hear those prayers, and He’s working out the answers even though we may not know all the details. Our situation can change suddenly—quickly without warning!
But one thing is certain: Before God moves suddenly, we will wait. Waiting for answers is a fact of life—nobody gets out of it. So the question is not if we'll wait, but rather how we’ll wait. And I believe how will determine how long.

Two Ways to Wait

All of us will wait passively, or we'll wait expectantly. A passive person hopes something good will happen and is willing to sit around waiting to see if it does. After a short time, he gives up, saying, "That’s it! I've waited and waited and nothing's happened." The passive person has a lot of wishbone but not much backbone!
The expectant person, on the other hand, is hopeful, believing the answer is just around the corner, due to arrive any minute. His belief is not a passive thing. His heart is full of hope, expecting his problem to be solved at any moment. He wakes up every morning expecting to find his answer. He may wait and wait, but suddenly what he’s been waiting for happens.

Expect It to Happen

It’s just like when a woman is pregnant; it's said that she is expecting a baby. She carries inside her the promise of a baby, and even though she can’t see it, she knows it's there. The moment she learns of her pregnancy, she begins to plan for her baby's arrival. She starts collecting items she'll need and busily gets the nursery ready. She actively prepares for the arrival of the baby because she knows the promise will be fulfilled—it's just a matter of time. She is expectant and she'll wait as long as it takes.
We know the word wait means "to expect" or "to look for." But remember, it also means "to serve" — just like a waiter waits on your table at a restaurant. Our act of waiting isn’t supposed to be spent sitting around passively hoping that something will happen sometime soon.

Be Eager with Faith

Once we've asked God to answer a question or solve a problem, we need to be eagerly awaiting His answer. We need to be serving actively, aggressively and expectantly. When our hearts are eager to hear from God, He loves to rush in suddenly with His solution. In many cases this waiting period actually serves as a time of preparation for the answer. If God answered right away, many of us would be ill-prepared to handle His solution.
Sometimes we find ourselves in such horrible messes that it's hard to imagine waiting one more second. But we need to keep waiting on God and trusting Him with a sweet and simple faith. Then, in a way we never could've figured out—God moves suddenly!

Then All of a Sudden...

In the Bible Paul and Silas knew about waiting, and they waited well. Acts 16 tells the story of how they were attacked by a crowd, beaten and thrown in jail. Verse 24 says the jailer put them into the inner prison (the dungeon) and fastened their feet in the stocks. He was making sure they couldn't escape. But about midnight, God showed up. Now it would have been nice if He'd come a little earlier, but Paul and Silas didn’t seem to mind—they just decided to start singing and began to worship the Lord. They began to wait on God.
Verses 25 & 26 say, "But about midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the [other] prisoners were listening to them, suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken; and at once all the doors were opened and everyone's shackles were unfastened." God answered them suddenly!
When people patiently and expectantly wait on God in the midst of horrible circumstances, suddenly God breaks through.
So don't give up! Don’t stop believing! Stay full of hope and expectation. God's power is limitless, and He'll break through for you.

10 MAJOR SIGNS TO LET YOU KNOW THE GAME IS OVER by Rev Ebenezer Akinsunlola

10 MAJOR SIGNS TO LET YOU KNOW THE GAME IS OVER

1.Someone expects you to be someone you’re not. – Don’t change who you are for anyone else. It’s wiser to lose someone over being who you are, than to keep them by being someone you’re not. Because it’s easier to mend a broken heart, than it is to piece together a shattered identity. It’s easier to fill an empty space in your life where someone else used to be, than it is to fill the empty space inside yourself where YOU used to be.

2.A person’s actions don’t match their words. – Everybody deserves somebody who helps them look forward to tomorrow. If someone has the opposite effect on you, because they are consistently inconsistent and their actions don’t match up with their words, it’s time to let them go. It’s always better to be alone than to be in bad company. True friendship is a promise made in the heart – silent, unwritten, unbreakable by distance, and unchangeable by time. Don’t listen to what people say; watch what they do. Your true friends will slowly reveal themselves over time.

3.You catch yourself forcing someone to love you. – Let us keep in mind that we can’t force anyone to love us. We shouldn’t beg someone to stay when they want to leave. That’s what love is all about – freedom. However, the end of love is not the end of life. It should be the beginning of an understanding that love sometimes leaves for a reason, but never leaves without a lesson. If someone truly loves you, they will never give you a reason to doubt it. Anyone can come into your life and say how much they love you, but it takes someone really special to stay in your life and prove how much they love you. Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right person, but the right person is always worth the wait.

4.An intimate relationship is based strictly on physical attraction. – Being beautiful is more than how many people you can get to look at you, or how others perceive you at a single glance. It’s about what you live for. It’s about what defines you. It’s about the depth of your heart, and what makes you unique. It’s about being who you are and living out your life honestly. It’s about those little quirks that make you, you. People who are only attracted to you because of your pretty face or nice body won’t stay by your side forever. But the people who can see how beautiful your heart is will never leave you.

5.Someone continuously breaks your trust. – Love means giving someone the chance to hurt you, but trusting them not to. When you completely trust a person, without any doubt, you’ll automatically get one of two results - a FRIEND for life or a LESSON for life. Either way there’s a positive outcome. Either you confirm the fact that this person cares about you, or you get the opportunity to weed them out of your life and make room for those who do. In the end you’ll discover who’s fake, who’s true, and who would risk it all for you. And trust me, some people will totally surprise you.

6.Someone continuously overlooks your worth. – Know your worth! When you give yourself to someone who doesn’t respect you, you surrender pieces of your soul that you’ll never get back. There comes a point when you have to let go and stop chasing some people. If someone wants you in their life, they’ll find a way to put you there. Sometimes you just need to let go and accept the fact that they don’t care for you the way you care for them. Let them leave your life quietly. Letting go is oftentimes easier than holding on. We think it’s too hard to let go, until we actually do. Then we ask ourselves, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

7.You are never given a chance to speak your mind. – Sometimes an argument saves a relationship, whereas silence breaks it. Speak up for your heart so that you won’t have regrets. Life is not about making others happy. Life is about being honest and sharing your happiness with others.

8.You are frequently forced to sacrifice your happiness. – If you allow people to make more withdrawals than deposits in your life, you will be out of balance and in the negative before you know it. Know when to close the account. It’s always better to be alone with dignity than in a relationship that constantly requires you to sacrifice your happiness and self-respect. Read Stumbling on Happiness.

9.You truly dislike your current situation, routine, job, etc. – It’s better to be a failure at something you love than to succeed at doing something you hate. Don’t let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of going after yours. The best thing you can do in life is follow your heart. Take risks. Don’t just make the safe and easy choices because you’re afraid of what might happen. If you do, nothing will ever happen. Chances must be taken, mistakes must be made, and lessons must be learned. It might be an uphill climb, but when you reach that mountaintop it will be worth every ounce of blood, sweat and tears you put into it.

10.You catch yourself obsessing over, and living in, the past. – Eventually you will overcome the heartache, and forget the reasons you cried, and who caused the pain. Eventually you will realize that the secret to happiness and freedom is not about control or revenge, but in letting things unfold naturally, and learning from your experiences over the course of time. After all, what matters most is not the first, but the final chapter of your life, which unveils the details of how well you wrote your story. So let go of the past, set yourself free, and open your mind to the possibility of new relationships and priceless experiences

DON'T STOP DREAMING

I stumbled on this wonderful piece on the internet and I decided to share.....Someone once said to me, the day you stop dreaming, you start dying. Once you have that life inside of you, there is definitely something to live for. Don't stop dreaming!!!! Dare to dream!!!!! As a matter of fact, it costs NOTHING to dream BIG. Three things we should never let go of: Faith, Hope, and Love.

  Have a beautiful day xoxo

 COLOURED RAINBOWS

Dare to dream of coloured rainbows
and fine "castles in the air" -
and a Sun that shines so brightly
making cloudy days seem rare!

When you aim to find a purpose
then your life becomes worthwhile.
You will dazzle those about you -
when you show your own true style!

Our dreams are not for keeping -
simply borrowed for a while;
to console us in adversity
and teach us how to smile!

Dream again of coloured rainbows
and of bluebirds flying high.
You will overcome the obstacles
once you decide to try!

THE VOICE OF TRUTH

.......So today I chose to write again after a very long time. This piece is inspired by a burden that's been on my heart for sometime and it just seemed like the "easer" popped in this morning and I decided to share through this short message. I hope and pray, as always, that at least 1 person will be blessed and inspired through this piece.

It's all about VOICES this morning, It's about the different voices we hear at different points of our lives.

I will classify the different voices we hear at different points of our life into 3:
  1. The voice of the Giant: This is that ever intimidating voice that bullies and harasses you all over the place. Makes you feel less than yourself. Stares you in the face and tells you how done you are. The voice of Goliath to the Isrealites is an example of such. The voice of the giant addresses you as a FAILURE all of the time. The voice is evil. Shut it up.
2. The voice of the coward: This is the voice that looks at the problem, estimates your abilities and  concludes that       IT  IS   NOT POSSIBLE. The voice says “you cant”.
    3. The voice of truth:  This is simply the voice that tells A DIFFERENT STORY.

Facts abouth the voice of truth:

      1. It doesn’t always look like it. When the 12 spies were sent to spy on the land, 10 of them heard the voice of the coward. “We were just like grasshoppers in our own sights, and even in the sight of the people over there”. This actually was the situation of the land. It had large cities, surrounded by high walls, and everyone in it looked like giants. If na you nko? But 2 of them came and just said “ WE ARE ABLE TO TAKE UP THIS LAND”. That’s what the voice of truth says. I am able. I can. I want to try and imagine what was going through the minds of those 2.  Same goes for David. Goliath was a bloody giant who has been harassing the entire nation. A whole nation! Then David, a small shepherd boy, comes from nowhere, and sees Goliath as someone that ordinary stone and sling will bring down. I doesn’t look like it, but it actually was it.
      2.  It’s always positive: From the above stories, one can tell that no matter what the situation on ground was, the report of the victors was positive all the way.  For the 2 spies, for David and even for the Shunamite woman, their reports were positive even in the face of negativities.
I understand the fact that sometimes, as humans,  we wish we knew what tomorrow holds precisely, dt way we wont bother to worry ourselves about what and which voice is true, but reality is that WE HAVE AN ANCHOR THAT KEEPS THE SOUL, STEADFAST AND SURE WHILE THE BILLOWS ROLL,WHILE WE ARE FASTENED TO THE ROCK, WHICH CANNOT MOVE, WE ARE GROUNDED FIRM AND DEEP IN THE SAVIOUR'S LOVE.

Finally, move closer to God. He controls the times and seasons. Stay positive. That has been my theme for a while now. The voice of truth is positive. Even in the fire the voice of truth says, all is well. Even in the worst of situations, the voice of truth says I”d be fine. Even though you have no children yet, the voice of truth says you are the father and mother of nations. Whatever you are going through, the voice of truth says DO NOT BE AFRAID.

        God bless you.

        Regards,

        Motara.

          HELLO......

......So I decided to "resurrect" my blog after a very looooong time of "abandonment"....hahahahaaaa. Thank God for a second chance anyways because this time around, it's not just a ressurection, it's also a rebranding. The Blog has been re-aligned with a Vision.....INSPIRE. By God's grace, henceforth, every single article that comes up on this blog will be aimed at acheiving this goal. We now live in times where everyone needs a "way out". People are confused, broken, discouraged, shattered and what have you. The times are hard. For someone like me, several articles I have read on the internet has been a source of blessing and encouragement to me. As a result of this, I have decided to contribute my own quota of inspiring my generation, and God-willing the generation to come via this blog. I trust God that this would not just be "one of them blogs", but rather, it will be another tool in God's hands to heal, encourage, inspire, motivate, save, etc. We all together will contribute our quota in making sure that this blog has come to stay. All forms of inspiring testimonies, articles, events, music, videos, seminars, and life-transforming articles are welcome on the blog. Remember, it's EAGLES CORNER. INSPIRE someone to soar today!
